New team members bring experience, knowledge and dynamism at a time when interest in the new event, showcasing innovation and technology in transport, is growing significantly.
Binswood Media, the organiser of ITT Hub 2020, has announced a number of key personnel appointments as interest in the new event, which will showcase innovation and technology in transport, grows significantly.
Nick Fielding joins as Event Director with Mel Holley also appointed to manage Content and Media Relations. Both Nick and Mel will report to CEO, Mark Griffin.
A musician by training, Nick Fielding will bring extensive experience in the event management arena to the team, having previously worked at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre – the venue where ITT Hub 2020 will take place. His role involved both managing exhibitions at the venue and many elements of the Farnborough International Airshow in both 2016 and 2018.
In his new brief, Nick will be responsible for delivery of all aspects of the exhibition and associated conference programme as well as the overall exhibitor and visitor experience. He will be working with event contractors Showlite and Maelstom Event Solutions, who have also been confirmed as primary supplier partners. Several other supplier agreements are also now in place with companies which include SD Displays (design and build), Blitz (audio visual) and accommodation agency BCD Meetings & Events.
Nick comments: “I am delighted to be joining the Binswood Media team. There is a tremendous amount of work already done and, importantly, lot’s more to do.”
With the support of recently announced Strategic Partner the Freight Transport Association (FTA), the business has already created a united and strong collaborative unit along with event partners the Renewable Energy Association (REA), Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LowCVP), Highways UK and, of course, the venue at Farnborough.
Mel Holley, a former editor of a weekly title in the bus and coach market, is a well-respected journalist who brings in-depth knowledge and insight across all transport modes, and in particular the technologies that are driving rapid change in both the passenger and freight sectors. His new role at ITT Hub 2020 will see him providing high quality information and content across a number of media channels.
“Individually and collectively, Nick, Mel and our many partners bring huge amounts of experience, know-how and dynamism to our team and their appointment comes at a time when ITT Hub 2020 is gathering real momentum. Their recruitment comes ahead of plan, due to a very positive reaction in the marketplace” says Binswood Media Chairman, Leon Daniels OBE.
“With a number of companies and organisations already on board in either an exhibitor, event partner or advisory board member capacity, it is clear that the collaborative hub concept of bringing together a broad spectrum of informed proactive stakeholders across the wider transport and logistics space has really struck a chord.
“With the full weight of the FTA also behind the event too as a Strategic Event partner, we now have an exceptional opportunity to drive ITT Hub 2020 forward as a key industry gathering. The new team and suppliers will be instrumental in the planning and delivery of an event that will promote thought-leadership, facilitate knowledge sharing and, in doing so, add real value.”
ITT Hub 2020, which will take place for the first time on 13-14 May 2020, will be located at the brand new and purpose-built Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre.
