I attended the excellent day 2 of the Future Logistics Conference. The event was impressive, well organised and very relevant.
The indoor and outdoor exhibitions worked really well, the facilities at Farnborough are impressive and I think the organisers made the most of them. There’s nothing like seeing the new tech up close and being able to operate, drive, ride in it was unique.
Overall a very positive experience and I’ve registered interest for next year.
The reason we decided to exhibit at ITT Hub is all about innovation and as an industry leader in what we do, it has been an interesting event. It lines up with the development in our organisation on technology, the quality of customers has been very good and it has been enjoyable for team. We are an extremely environmentally friendly organisation, we construct our vehicles in a way that they are modular, they can be deconstructed easily and recycled. This event really falls very well in line for us and it has been a great event for us.
ITT Hub was a great show – I will certainly be looking forward to coming back next year. It is great to have a Ride & Drive for our customers, we had more than 60 or 70 people take part in the Ride & Drive so that has been a great experience. Thank you to all the people that make the show happen.
It has been great to meet people, it is a great venue. Really happy with the stand. Probably the key thing is it’s the first event to meet people since the pandemic and meeting people is so important. That’s the power of shows like this. I have been really impressed by how many zero emission vehicles there are here and on that basis I think we would definitely look at coming back.
National Grid has never been involved with an event like this before. It was great to see how transportation, energy, infrastructure and digital will come together to transition to net zero. We’ve had some good, meaningful engagement and discussion with those at the sharp end of this transition. We hope that the visitors and other exhibitors got as much out of being here as we did.
